I have recently transitioned from a CNC operator, setter and programmer role, with time served as an apprentice, to a CAM position; utilising Siemens Nx and Teamcentre. I currently specialise on Mazak CNC machines; including Mill Turn J200 and Variaxis I-700, where I have also developed a very extensive knowledge of Mazak matrix and Mazak smooth controls. I have the ability to program fully in Mazatrol including; milling, turning and transfering of component's on multi axis machining centres. I have a good knowledge of ISO programming with the ability to fault find, edit and make alterations to programs during the developmental stage of their production, including the use of probing and macro variables. Working daily with materials including Nickel, Inconel and Stainless steels and too tight tolerances; including +/-.0055mm have developed my engineering ability helping me adopt a more methodical approach to machining.I can work independently but also strive as part of a team; welcoming new insight and ideas to continuously develop my skills and knowledge of mechanical engineering. Whereby I still appreciate the process of turning a blank piece of material into a complex functioning component.
