I have been working in the Instrumentation and Electrical trade for nearly 20 years, completing apprenticeships as an Electrician and Instrumentation Technician and acquiring new skills and experiences in my day to day en-devours. Over the last 5 years, I have seen several complex projects through from design to start-up, contributing my field knowledge and trade experience to improve upon the design and solve issues before handover. This expertise was built on a strong maintenance background in an environment where equipment needed to be brought back into service quickly and "downtime" was a curse word. My experiences have made me a very resourceful trades person, with a tendency to think outside the box.I have spent much of my time in the trade troubleshooting and performing routine maintenance on Natural Gas processing facilities. I've calibrated many different types of devices and methodically and successfully troubleshot many problems throughout my career. I have been fortunate enough through my time in the trade to work on a lot of technical equipment, and have much of my own calibration equipment and software. Working with the CSU team we have successfully completed the commissioning and startup of several facilities that compose Keyera's Wapiti interests in the Grande Prairie area.The Wapiti Gas Plant, located 60 kilometers southwest of Grande Prairie, is a sour gas processing and liquids stabilization plant that supports development of the Montney. Phase I of this gas plant was recently completed and can process up to 150 mmcf/day of sour gas and 25,000 bbls/day of condensate. Phase II will add an additional 150 mmcf/day once completed in mid 2020. The gas plant includes three field compression nodes (Gold Creek Compressor Station, Elmworth Compressor Station and Keyera Pipestone Compressor Station), associated pipeline gathering infrastructure, and acid gas & water injection wells. -
