The Associate Commissioner of Communications and Media Relations will manage the flow of information to and from the association; Serve as the primary and/or secondary spokesperson for the conference; Be responsible for managing the public, media and community relations of the conference to include branding, marketing/sponsorship's, licensing and other areas as requested. The AC will serve as the primary contact for media during the CIAA Basketball Tournament and the conference 15 other championships, maintain and update weekly releases for CIAA sponsored sports and handle development of sport-specific content (editorial, video and audio) for social media outlets, including Facebook, Twitter, blogs, etc.• Set and execute plans for accomplishing communications department functions for the conference office, working with institutional sports information directors to analyze the needs of member institutions and provide services as needed (statistical data, event support and historical information).• Primary administrator for selected CIAA championships, working closely with the secondary administrator for designated sports.• Generate media exposure opportunities.• Serve as the conference office point of contact to oversee negotiation and logistics for CIAA-managed multi-media agreements, including coordination with institutional personnel, multimedia production personnel and talent.• Assist in the oversight of the CIAA branding, licensing, marketing/sponsorship agreements and projects.• Manage the work and performance of communications and media support personnel, contractors, including setting expectations, providing direction, feedback, and evaluation.• Assist with managing championship host city public relations activities.• Plan and execute press conferences and other special events as assigned.• Assist corporate sponsors with media activation on selected initiatives.

Coordinate the activities of the Sports Information Office.Create, write, and edit press guides, press releases, souvenir game programs, and special event programs. Develop and coordinate all sports public relations activities and programs. Compile and maintain statistics on teams and individual student athletes. Input rosters, schedules, statistics, and student-athlete information into the FSU, CIAA and NCAA on-line reporting systems for each of the 10 sports and update Athletic website daily. Oversee all press box and press row operations for all home athletic events.Serve as the official source for statistics, input statistics using the Automated Scorebook (Statcrew) for all home athletic contests, and general information describing the Athletic Department, teams and programs. Supervise the Assistant Sports Information Director and student workers. Secure game operation staff for all Athletic home contests.Oversee all football video-board operations for Luther "Nick" Jerald's Stadium. Secure gameday staff and serve as producer in the Control Room. Create in-game content along with post-game highlights. Develop weekly podcasts to highlight/interview coaches, student-athletes, and athletics staff. Serve as Website and Social Media Coordinator/Video Streaming Coordinator.
