"I am interested in the people, not just the process"A dedicated and skilled professional planner, programme manager and troubleshooter, with a pedigree of managing complex, controversial and high-profile projects through gaining a rapport with stakeholders and encouraging the best service from multidisciplinary teams. Adept at communicating problematic and technical matters to a wide variety of audiences including political and technical/peer. In addition, over a decade of working with the public, both face to face, via the phone or web, has given me a wealth of experience in bringing the audience along with me.Confident at working to compressed timescales on multiple project elements, I have demonstrated robust decision-making through sound business-planning preparation, comprehensive but pragmatic risk assessment and efficient financial management. I have proven that I am quick to assimilate both the macro- and micro-elements of the programme requirements, and then identify and develop the critical people, path and contingencies, with an appreciation of external factors such as political, partnership, financial or corporate requirements.A creative and collegiate problem solver, who is solution focused whilst understanding the broader context, I have consistently demonstrated highly effective people skills to keep the programmes on track. I am approachable and happy to work within a team and/or wider partnership, but also content to take a lead and be decisive when necessary. Rigorous and tenacious, with an eye for detail, I have a proven ability to bring a project to fruition, through a combination of enthusiasm, engagement and a determination to see the job well done.

I was brought in to initiate an effective culture of programme and project management within the Transformation workstream, and identify programme synergies, efficiencies, risks and solutions. I worked with workstream colleagues to develop and maintain the Transformation programme plan for 2014/15 and in particular to identify, organise, prioritise and ensure delivery of a wide-ranging programme of Transformational Activities and Interventions for a unique whole organisation Change Management Programme; this programme had an audience of circa 15,000 employees and I assisted with the delivery of numerous employee support interventions including event-based, communications programmes and via the web.I set up the overall programme plan and encouraged the project leads to think more strategically, objectively and with fantastic delivery in mind. Bringing some rigorous planning to the programme has enabled a suite of significant colleague engagement events and communication campaigns to support colleagues through a significant period of transformation and change.

I provided rigorous support to the Workstyle programme, which aims to provide flexible smarter working to Hampshire County Council and partner organisation colleagues, improving the efficiency of the corporate estate through better designed and integrated office designs. Acting both as a client representative for over 600 staff and colleagues moving to a new office and way of working as their Business Change Manager, I offered ideas, support and change management expertise to the workforce and also manage client requirements for the new offices. In particular I was responsible for rational application of workspace planning and Health and Safety at Work principles. The aim was to identify an optimum work space plan and then communicate this to staff in accordance with legal requirements and, where applicable, safety guidance. A significant element of this work was to work with colleagues and their managers to provide guidance, steer and support in changing how they work to become more efficient, but also to empower them in taking responsibility for moving to flexible smarter working.
