Adrian Flynn (PhD) is Director of Fathom Pacific, a marine and freshwater consulting and research firm based in Australia. He is a specialist in marine and freshwater ecology, environmental impact assessment and biomonitoring. He has been an environmental consultant for over 18 years and has completed impact assessment studies and research for some of the highest-profile development projects in the Asia-Pacific region. Adrian’s expertise is to link an in-depth understanding of biological systems, ecosystem values, with project-related stressors (e.g., trace metals, hydrocarbons, sediment) to assess impacts on biological communities, ecological function and subsistence/commercial resource use, and to develop best-practice monitoring and management programs. Adrian has specialist expertise in area of deep-sea biology and has led numerous marine and freshwater field expeditions in remote areas including high-seas voyages. Adrian is skilled in biostatistical analysis and modelling. He is a qualified commercial/scientific diver and a Member of the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand.
