A 3 month period prior to starting MEng year at University working in the Electrical Project Engineering department at Nufarm in Wyke.Primary role involved the planning and creation of an Access database for the company's electrical assets. The aim being to streamline electrical inspections and create a robust method of generating and saving reports. This was an excellent opportunity to learn more about the chemical industry and further professional development.

A year in industry between second and final year providing valuable experience and exposure to the engineering industry, specifically in nuclear reprocessing and decommissioning.Responsibilities revolved mainly around the asset care of on-site plants. This included but was not limited to the design, maintenance and commissioning of different systems, machines, equipment or instruments. This required substantial liaising with on-site, in-office or contractor firm personnel, ultimately leading to the issue of a deliverable. This could range from a scope of work, drawing mark up or full design package.
