• Supervise a team of 15-20 staff in the mowing division• Work with the Operations Manager, Greenspace Manager and other supervisors ensuring full utilisation of company resources including machinery, materials, and staff.• Proactively problem solve operational issues with the Operations Manager, Greenspace Manager and other supervisors to ensure targets are met and minor issues do not jeopardise project progress • Keep accurate records of, and inform Managers & Operations Manager of, projects activities progress (actual vs. programmed), financials, and relevant issues as required• Work with field staff to ensure they understand contract requirements and work programmes.• Provide support to field staff to improve productivity and make sure they have all the tools they need to complete the job.• Provide feedback to Operations Manager, Greenspace Manager and other supervisors on staff that are demonstrating City Care values• Looking after a fleet of John Deere mowers and tractors (Out-front; Zero steer; Real and Pegasus mowers for tractors)• Lay new gardens from plans• Maintain grounds to specifications• Manage irrigation/watering systems• Monitor plant health for diseases, fungicides etc.• Pruning• Spraying, insecticide, herbicide with conventional knapsack and motorized blower• Audit parks and gardens assets• Manage and organized resources to complete assigned work• Communicate with manager• Operate and maintain small plant and equipment• Report all hazards/incidents/near misses• Maintain vehicles as required, identify defects, keep track of RUC, COF, REG • Any other duties as required to maintain and support the Road Landscape and Residential Red-Zone contracts.• Maintain a high level of Health and Safety discipline

My responsibilities included to manage all aspects of a hydroponic growing operations from seed to seedling and to small plant in the hydroponic house to harvesting and preparing for new planting overseeing a crew of 2-5 staff members.• To bulk pick in the early morning the quantity of lettuces required for the day ahead in big bins from the hothouses and delivered them to the packing shed.• To pick the specified types of lettuces for the orders made by clients. • To supervise the production system and maintain the hydroponic system at an optimal level.• To do the afternoon cleaning in the lettuce house and carry outside the gullies that needs it cleaning for the seedlings planting.• To manage a team of 2-3 workers to create space for the rotation of the gullies and the creation of a new crop of seedlings.• Constantly checking the market demand in order to tailor the size of the seedlings to meet the market demand.• To constantly monitor the pressure, the filters and the whiskers so the hydroponic system is working at maximum capacity.
