• Drafts an annual business plan for the department in line with the global strategy of the company and the unit business plans;• Takes all the steps needed to reach the targeted turnover and department objectives;• People management responsibilities: regular staff evaluations, staff development plans, job rotation schemes, training schedules;• Liaises with client on research methodology or analysis issues;• Conducts regular project analysis: timings, costs, planning and takes actions as needed to improve efficiency and reduce costs;• Approves feasibility of complex projects, checking with the technical coordinators as appropriate.

• Management of trade promotions – concept, develop and implement trade promotions at national level or in specific Key Accounts (focused on clients) • Management (concept/development/production) of the sales support materials: presentations of new products, presentations of promotions (focused on final consumers) etc. • Shelf and merchandising - Identify & drive implementation (via material to sales force) for each POS typology: priority sku / shelf position / dimension at shelf / implementation (when appropriate) POS support material / category management • Develop support data helping decision making to help fact based approach: - Shelf management (as above) - Trade promotion evaluation (results vs. plan) - Sales forecasting process - develop and control the budget for trade marketing area • Coordinates and implements to the trade promotion programs containing purchase incentives to increase sales; purchase incentives may include discounts, samples, gifts, coupons, sweepstakes and contests, and other promotion programs designed to target specific marketing objectives • Concept development and co-ordination of the implementation of the In Store activities. • Maintain the communication with the advertising/promo agency (briefing, monitoring, implementing) for development of the materials necessary for the promotional activities.
