The IT solutions that I work mostly with include linux containers (lxc) - right, no Docker here, Openstack, libvirt/kvm, SQL, keepalived and haproxy HA systems, nginx reverse proxy, some bash scripting and a custom written python and perl-based distributed operations management system. This employer allows me to implement my own bash scripts to handle everyday tasks. Also plenty of opportunities to learn from more experienced colleagues. Here Your so-far knowledge matters less. What matters most is how large is your involvement in solving problems. How much research work have you done to solve it, and how well can you present your investigation results so that the root cause of an issue can be indicated. Quite challenging, and I also appreciate how my colleagues are patient towards me - after all I haven't completed any IT-related education and all of my knowledge is self-gained!

My basic set of duties at Vekamaf Warszawa was related to sales of industrial machinery, however I also got involved in improvement of how the company computer network worked. I have deployed a Linux-based file server so that workstations were no longer sharing the company files. Over the period of my employment at this magnificent employer I have improved and optimized this machine - a very convenient and secure backup system was employed with other employees being able to access previos file versions via a web interface. I have also learned a fair deal of stuff and got a lot of experience with handling both human- and machine-induced software issues. My active action to pursue a modern way to handle file storage at the company has improved both the efficiency and comfort of other employees, and has convinced company owners that such minor (in their understanding) improvement can mean a lot.
