After twenty-five years of experience in clerical accounting, I made a career change in order to match my work with my personal passions. Since 2009, I have completed my Library Technical Assistant Certification, volunteered in the technical services department of a museum library, and worked in public services in two area public libraries. I have now paired my library experience with my degree in early childhood education as an assistant librarian in Youth Services. As an employee of the public library, I strive to provide professional, friendly, and dedicated service to the library community. Having a role in providing free access to information and reading materials in all forms for all citizens is my professional goal and personal passion.In addition, I began a personal blog about vintage books and life lessons I’ve learned from them. This love of old books stems from a childhood filled with books, a desire to save resources, and a passion for history.
