Over the past twenty-odd years at home, I have been writing books (and rearing children). My books vary from a book on the Northern Ireland conflict to two novels, and a book on the beauty of everyday life, which I compiled and edited for an Irish charity, for free. It Doesn't Have Your Name On It, my memoir set in 1970s' Belfast, is searching for a home. It’s a book about how children carry complex trauma resulting from war through life and how this kind of war experience that they have lived over a period of years informs who they become as adults. My book, Socio-ideological Fantasy and the Northern Ireland Conflict, published by Manchester University Press, was short-listed in New York in 2007 for the Best Book Award by the National Association for the Advancement of Psychoanalysis. An earlier version of my doctoral and post-doctoral research was awarded Best Theoretical Paper award in 2001 by the American International Association for Conflict Management. The Beauty Of Everyday Life, with stories from 35 well-known Irish personalities, is available for purchase at http://goo.gl/THCO3k.
