After leaving school I went to Nursery Nurses college of FE in Clifton, Bristol. Unfortunately 75% through the course I had to leave the course due to personal circumstances skills obtained, working and caring for children aged 0-7, food preparation, reliability, lesson planning, reading skills (children) activity planning.Then as a “inbetween” job I became a mobile security guard for Securiguard / nighthawk security based in St Werberghs, Bristol. Skills obtained, reliability, planning, identifying security risks / observation and apprehension,driving, Whilst doing that job I drove doing double multi drop delivery for West House Transport on an ad-hoc basis. Skills obtained, route planning, time management , trouble shooting, vehicle walk round checks, identifying defects.In 1992 I decided to obtain my PCV licence and became employed by City-Line (Bristol Omnibus) skills obtained, driving stage carriage, running to a schedule, customer facing, money handling, punctuality and reliability.Then in 1995 I diversified and moved to a subsidiary company Wessex of Bristol coaches. There I started off as an express driver for National Express and worked my way up to traffic controller. Skills obtained, timetable operation, ticket sales and money requisition, passenger / customer service, safe driving, daily walk round checks, defect reporting, record keeping (Tachograph), cleaning, Tachograph analysis, scheduling of drivers and rotas, maintenance scheduling of 30+ coaches and running defect repairing. Ticket collection and administrative dutiesIn 1999 I went to live in London and worked for Tellings Golden Miller as a tour driver. Skills obtained, advance planning, logistics, record keeping, adherence to Eu legislation for PCV drivers.In 2001 I came back to Bristol and worked for Blue Iris Coaches in Nailsea as a tour driver. It was whilst at Blue Iris I decided I wanted to obtain an operators CPC which I obtained in 2003. Skills obtained, bus ‘ coach operating pricing, scheduling, maintenance schedules, driver legality and conformity to EU legislation.2006 I joined Wessex Connect as a operations supervisor/assistant manager: Skills; planning, rotas, scheduling of drivers and vehicles. Running over 50 vehicles and approx 100 drivers. Tendering council contracts and driver ticket receipts and revenue protection.2010 Joined SGBC as a European tour driver and in 2012 joined Euro as a European tour driver until I sustained a compressed spine.202013-2021 unable to work due to medical issues.2021-2022 Sycamore lodge (Care Home) staff minibus driver.
