East Coast Traffic Control (ECTC) has a simple vision - to grow an industry that puts people and ethics first. Having been the CEO of ECTC for four years I have moved into a part time strategic advisor role to assist the new CEO in achieving the strategic objectives for the next four years. We are already known as the industry leaders in traffic control in regional QLD and it is our goal is to be known as the same in regional NSW and VIC. We are expanding geographically, quickly, using our light aircraft to better manage customer experience and be able to be on the ground when it counts. At ECTC we do it differently, always with the best outcome in mind for our people, our customers and for the highest level of safety in the industry.

My Role at East Coast Traffic Control (ECTC) was to revive a struggling business. When I started in 2017 the company had suffered years of underperformance, was losing close to a million dollars a year and was rapidly running out of cash. Transformation of the business was delivered by focusing on the endgame and driving a turnaround in the culture of the business. I was fortunate to have some very talented team members that thrived in a new, positive environment and delivered fantastic results. Today ECTC is the leading traffic control company in Regional Australia, employing locals across a fast-growing footprint and leading the industry in safety, reliability and customer focus.

I have spent my life driving small to medium enterprises, first as a founder and then as a CEO, always with a passion for the people and for regional Australia. My love of Regional Australia grew out of my passion for Aviation and evolved into a desire to help people and businesses in the regions convert their passion and potential into success. I have focused my attention on taking businesses that are under pressure - be that financial pressure or the pressure of navigating high growth – and transforming them into profitable enterprises with strong leadership and positive cultures. My unique experience has given me a very high level of aptitude across strategy, financial and operations and I love being hands on with implementation. As a consultant, this has given me a very strong differentiator in being able to deliver results as opposed to just talk about results. My personal “why” I enjoy the work I do is the moment when the “penny drops” and a client or team member realises that they can do this and they can see the path to a stronger business. You can actually see the stress & pressure releasing and the vision for the business returning (and getting stronger) with the excitement building in their voice. That is my reward.

Working with Automation Group as I transitioned out of the CEO role and the business was transformed into the expert product distribution and support business it is today. Automation Group now offers state-of-the-art remote industrial monitoring and control technology in mining, oil & gas, power, rail, traffic, water and sewerage industries.Automation Group has a simple vision, "Empowering a Smarter Future".

Start-up and Development of Automation Group Company and management of the financial, marketing and growth strategies to deliver significant revenue growth across the business. Our journey included the acquisition and operation of manufacturing business capability, the operation of engineering business and the development of product distribution capability from international supply chains. The result was driving revenue from $1M to $10M over 5 years and managing the partial sale of the business to private equity.

Little Wings is a not for profit organisation whose mission is to provide a professional, free and safe flight and ground transport service for children from rural and regional NSW to access specialised medical services and treatment in major centres. Our aim is to support families to reduce the financial burden, emotional strain, and travel fatigue associated with long distance travel.
