-Responsible for the engineering process related to Outside Plant facilities (OSP) -Responsible for new service planning and designing all new commercial builds (copper & fiber) in the CA Southeast Region-Responsible for planning and designing all plant damage, safety and preventative maintenance work orders in the CA Southeast Region-Includes the design and preparation of work order drawings and documentation as well as continuous support to the OSP provisioning process-Strategically identified POC’s and designed new path through Aerial, Underground and Direct Buried application utilizing various developer-provided site plans-Redlined and as-builted designs as needed-Regularly fielded new sites, performed site surveys, attended site meets, pre-trench meets and represented company at utility coordination meetings-Updating property records in an accurate and timely manner, analysis of reports, providing work order -Estimated expenditures and/or placements, and data entry to mechanized support systems. -Oversees a significant volume of engineering related work activity supported by Statement of Work contractors that requires oversight of the tracking, assigning and quality control (QC) of assigned and returned work. -Provides direct support to OSP Construction, Customer Operations, Central Office, Sales, Marketing and Legal departments. -Responsibilities include working directly with municipalities (State, County and local), developers, governmental agencies, and external customers. -Responsible for all aspects of joint pole construction, documentation, protocol compliance, G.O.95 compliance and wind load compliance.
