A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Registered Auditor, graduated from the University of Malta in 1991 with a BA (Hons) in Accountancy and in 2005 with an MBA (Executive). Holds the title of Fellow of the Malta Institute of Accountants (FIA). Career was initiated at PWC Audit Firm, where the auditing warrant was obtained. With the warrants in hand, the transition was made to the private industry, where high-ranking positions of Finance Manager, Financial Controller, and Chief Financial Officer were held. Valuable experience was gained in companies such as Mizzi Organisation, NSTS, Frosch Touristic, Von der Heyden Group Finance plc and NM Group (Malta) Ltd. Later in his career, similar positions were held in the public sector, namely by the Ministry of Finance, Gozo Channel Co Ltd, Transport Malta and OHSA.
