A self starting and highly experienced Machine Learning Scientist / Engineer, proficient in the design, development, training and deployment of machine learning models, with a thorough grounding in production software engineering. With a PhD in Visual Speech Processing and over a decade in subsequent R&D and engineering roles, I have proven expertise researching and developing both novel and SOTA solutions in the domains of audio / visual speech recognition (AVSR incl. automatic lipreading), audio/visual speech synthesis / enhancement, language modelling, natural language processing (NLP), face recognition, optical character recognition (OCR) on challenging images and object segmentation/detection to name a few. In addition I also possess an extensive track record as an ‘all round’ software engineer, seeing projects through from conception to deployment.
