In my role, I work as an Assistant Producer/Part-time Reporter for the 90-minute newscast that begins at 5:00 p.m. I also get to travel with reporters and assist with script development, interviews, and capture footage for packages.

In my role with the UVM Program Board, I work as part of a team of students who host various events for the student body at UVM and have strengthened my skills in marketing, public speaking, and student engagement.

In this internship I have been able to work with the University Videographer to capture video and images of in-person events/activity at the University. I have also had the opportunity to collaborate with other inters to schedule times and venues for interviews with students, staff, and faculty. I also help monitor the University of Vermont’s presence on social media platforms to ensure student engagement and visibility.

In this role, I was able to work closely with the Office of Orientation, New Student Programs, and the First-Year Experience to better our weekend programming for incoming students. This included working collectively with other orientation leaders, facilitating conversations surrounding social justice and the college transition, as well as providing customer service to parents and new students entering the UVM Catamount family.

During my time as a Group leader, I was in charge of overseeing students during their lunch break. As Head Group Leader I was also responsible for taking students to and from recess as well as, was a lead Teaching Assitant for two elective courses. Every Friday I assisted supervisors with the end of the week trips.
