I am an experienced embedded systems engineer, proven team lead and supportive line manager, effective in test and software development roles. I've worked across numerous technologies, including defence avionics, Private Mobile Radio (PMR), platform software and drivers for mobile devices, and Bluetooth audio. I am expert in debugging, Continuous Integration (CI) and Build/Test/Release Engineering - I'm passionate about automation in software development and testing, with systems that I developed in use several years later. In management, I've sought to foster self-determination and inclusivity in the teams that I have led; I have been able to develop staff to create new peers, in some cases seeing them go on to lead teams of their own. I believe in mission-type tactics in line management, giving members autonomy to accomplish the team's goals.
