Programme ManagerRoyal Holloway, University Of London Feb 2019 - Oct 2021SurreyMar 2019-Oct 2021 Change Programme Manager Royal Holloway College, University of LondonI was invited to interview at Royal Holloway College – where I graduated in 1984 - for a senior Programme Manager position in the IT department, and was offered a permanent position. In my first year at the college I completed a large Agresso Finance system upgrade (which had previously failed three times over 4 years) including upgrades from a version more than 7 years without updates or workflow improvements. When the COVID-19 pandemic started and the first lockdown was announced in March 2010, all staff and students were sent home. Fortunately, we had just finished rolling out Microsoft Teams & Office 365 to all 2500 college staff, as a priority project. This went well, and the college settled into the long pandemic and further lockdowns. We took the opportunity to institute a big change programme – upgrades, new systems & applications, MFA and an out-sourcing workstream to get many of the old college systems modernised, and where possible, into the Cloud as managed services. Projects I ran included:• A combined College Card & Library Gates engineering system to track books and student activity using RFID technology• I implemented a cloud-based Catering system for the 13 food and beverage outlets on campus, which took a year to complete -
