I am very fortunate that when I bought De Lank Quarry I inherited a great team of guys that were very capable of managing themselves on the production side. The major challenge I have at De Lank is that over the last ten or so years they were left without a sales team and subsequently fell off the radar. So my job is to bang the drum as loud as I can for De Lank Granite (one of the best granites in the world). This task is made so much easier because this quarry has such an incredible 200 year history, supplying such notable projects including Tower Bridge, Trafalgar Square, Princess Diana Memorial, the list goes on and on.

As Director of Black Mountain Quarries I oversee all operations including the running of the three quarries we operate in Herefordshire and the production facilities at Pontrilas, Herefordshire. I take charge of the major decisions in the office (I am rubbish at the day to day stuff). I also coordinate the work that passes between Black Mountain Quarries and my other quarry, De Lank in Cornwall. The rest of the time I spend looking for new opportunities and contacts for both businesses, especially the new export markets we are finding in Canada and Europe etc.
