My "The King Who Had To Go" (Biteback 2016) broke the mould of writing on the abdication crisis of 1936 by looking at it from the government's side. Since then I have written about appeasement ("Fighting Churchill, Appeasing Hitler"), rearmament ("Rearming the RAF For the Second World War") and the battle to control the abdication narrative ("The First Royal Media War.")I also work on financial markets, focusing on developing investment strategies and models to respond to the current environment of low growth and low returns. I also write research on individual companies and equity investment strategy pieces, which focus particularly on the dynamics and cycles of industrial sectors and how these affect overall market earnings.
