Building on my responsibility and experience as the IT Implementer for the group, this role involved supporting and developing the company's 7 WordPress / WooCommerce websites using a combination of web technologies such as HTML, PHP, CSS.Another part of this role involved providing hardware support for the business, repairing computers , replacing parts and setting up users with various software and hardware setups.

My current role divides into the following categories: Business Intelligence, Project Management and most of the Software Development Lifecycle (requirement gathering, analysis , design , liaising with software developers , translating requirements into technical documents and vice versa , testing , implementation and user training)The first part of my role is managing all software systems for the group such as ERP software, expenses, reporting (SSRS), MS Office, payment processing (WorldPay) as well as implement new systems or modules as required as well as providing support and training to the users. I also partially administer the ERP database, updating, and inserting, deleting or uploading data.The second part of my role is Business Intelligence, where I develop the data warehouse and all the business reports using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services. The areas for which I develop reporting solutions are : management and finance , as well as any operational reporting (distribution, warehouse, marketing etc.). I take part in report scoping and feasibility analysis with stakeholders then take the requirements and develop the reporting solution.The third part of my role is Project Management of any projects , new systems or any new modules / enhancements to the ERP system by liaising with 3rd party software companies and internal stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.Lastly I am part of the IT steering committee for the group, offering advice on decision making. This has required me to also take part in the group’s PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliance by managing the procedural part of the standard, creating compliance procedures and documents as well as training/auditing the users. I have also been responsible with the analysis and implementation of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) , analysing data streams and actioning any outstanding tasks required for compliance.

Providing software support to clients using our practice management system (Osprey Legal Cloud). The support process involved using a Customer Relationship Management software to log calls and diagnose the problems, then get in touch with the clients to provide a solution. The fact that I am required to diagnose and solve the issues that clients report has enhanced my problem solving and customer relation skills. The second part of my job is to provide online training for our clients using the Osprey Legal Cloud system. This has challenged me to learn quickly how to use the software at a high level in order to train clients on how to use it and, also being prepared to answer any questions, they might have.
