My career has been focussed in the area of technical support for over 20 years, starting with hardware support, then moving into software support and the delivery of the associated Professional Services, after which I made the move into IT Service Management. If I were to describe my key strengths, I would say I have a good broad technical knowledge and awareness, and that I understand people management. This has enabled me to successfully deliver change into an organisation, with proven results. I take great time and effort to get to know my staff/team, so that I find out about them as individuals, as well as developing and understanding their own personal strengths. Only then is it possible to build upon these attributes to deliver success. Along this journey it is important to acknowledge any development they may need to support their growth. It is an investment really, and you get results based on what you put in! I have a proven track record of introducing IT systems and processes into a business that bring structure and focus to how a team and its support activities run. Keeping things simple and delivering clear communication is key.
