National human rights NGO working for LGBT people• Lobbying and advocacy: led efforts to repeal the anti-gay criminal law and adopt anti-discrimination legislation, by lobbying with Romanian and European Union officials and developing strategic alliances• Institutional development and strategic planning: designed and implemented an institutional development plan• Fundraising and financial management: raised over $500,000 in five years from 16 different sources, public and private; managed the NGO’s budget and expenditure, organized audit and accounting systems• Public relations and media: spokesperson and key actor in changing public perception of LGBT people• Program development: designed the first programs for LGBT people on documenting and fighting discrimination, legal, psychological, and health/HIV counseling, and organized the first sexuality and human rights library in Romania• Human resources: managed 13 staff members and a volunteer program
