Qc Welding Inspector
Witness procedure qualification and welder qualification test.Review and approve Subcontractor's construction procedures and method statements.Conducts regular site inspections and sees to it that all works conform to project specifications, IFC drawings and approved method statements and ensures that all materials used are pre-approved.Checks all materials delivery approval with complete certificates in conformance with approved MD&S or Delivery Notes to be traceable and conduct inspection from the client prior for approval.Ensurng the compliance of construction and associated activities related to client approved drawing and specification by inspecting, witnessing and monitoring the activities. Perform piping fit-up and welding inspection during shop and field fabrication.Welding inspection for tank (shell course, bottom plates, annular plat, roof plate, top angle, welds in nozzle, manway necks welding and other appurtenance welds to the tank).Ensuring that all tank NDT requirements have been done as per API 620 and API 650.Monitoring and ensuring that the appropriate consumables being distributed to welders in order to make a sound weld.Assist NDT personnel for all NDT requirements as per project standards.Witnessing of Flange joint assembly (bolt torque, Inspection of gaskets)Review and approve test packages.Verifying calibration records for testing and inspection equipmentPrepares punch list items as per P&ID and Isometric such as, Pipe supports, Valves, Guides, Shoe supports and NDT completion and approving/ releasing packages for hydro test.Ensuring all NDT requirements have been done prior to hydrotest.Witnessing tests, visual, dimensional, pneumatic testing & hydrostatic testing of Pipe lines.Issuing and follow up on Non-conformance reports (NCR), and Site Surveillance Reports (SSR).Closing and verifying of punchlist items on site.Responsible for preparing mechanical dossier for every project done
