Perform function testing of substation control circuits on relay panel, transformers & circuit breaker change-outs. Perform end-to-end relay testing using Doble ProTest software or Protection Suite. Develop written standard commissioning, testing and maintenance procedures for protective relaying.

Responsibilities include commissioning SEL 501, 311, 421, 387 and 587 relays. As well as 345/230/115kV line terminals, transformers, breakers, capacitors, and reactors. I'm also responsible for troubleshooting and commissioning RTUs and DFRs plus performing end to end tests with DCUB and POTT schemes. In addition, I model fault distance using CAPE in order to accurately test relay settings with Vector prior to putting a piece of equipment into service.
