Conduct death investigations for deaths occurring in Los Angeles County and also meeting the department's criteria qualifying to become a Coroner case. Investigations may include cases involving deaths in the field, at a hospital, or investigations at a mortuary where the decedent is located. Complete an investigative report used by the Forensic Pathologist to determine manner and mode of death at the time of autopsy exam. Interview law enforcement, eyewitnesses, and informants to obtain information surrounding death. Collect evidence as part of the on-scene investigation. Collect decedent property to be collected by the legal next of kin. Find and notify next of kin of the death.

Retrieve probationer criminal histories via multiple confidential databases including JDIC interface (CLETS), AJIS, CCHRS, TCIS, PCMS, PIMS, APS. Interview probationer to determine if meets qualifications for Court program.Summarize and prepare report to be reviewed by Probation Officer for upcoming court hearing. Work variety of court programs including Bail Deviation, Early Disposition, Own Recognizance, DNA, and Electronic Monitoring.

Determine/detect fraudulent check activity on customer account. Verify authenticity of physical items being processed through account. Notify account managers of potential fraud thereby preventing bank losses.

Scan incoming branch work, courier deposits & armored truck deliveries. Input deliveries into system.
