Some of the major changes come from years of being told that items couldn't be changed. Having a great team that has supported the changes and given me the ability to truly lead a group has now the attitude "what can we do next to be better".During the pandemic we have been able to sustain business by looking at how the business can run more efficiency. Curriculum design and format using Articulate rise and storybook, taking the material from Subaru Corporation ( Japan ) to create web-based training and Instructor led training. Training material received during technical training attended in Japan. Management of the department included employee, budget and project management. Budget Management for the overall department, dealer tooling, scan-tool sales and software support , and skills competition national and world events. Project management included the implementation of dealer scan-tool ordering as well as software updating and troubleshooting between Subaru Corporation and a third party IT company. Special tool program with Bosch Canada for tooling both technical special tools and Dealer equipment. Design and implementation of the National and preparation of the competitor for the world competition in Japan. Additional projects included telematics support on prototype vehicles. Coordinating with Japan for the world competency for technical knowledge with the Subaru brand. This testing is online with requirements regionally, set-up and reporting within Canada and back to Subaru Corporation. Technical support for dealers and technical helpline.
