-Leading design projects in coordination with client’s and vendor’s engineering team on developing pressure decay based leak testing system for consumer electronic device to meet clients’ leakproofing design requirement up to IPX7 level for major smart device clients in both US and China market. -Coordinate and manage supplier resources to manufacture prototype testing jigs and turn key machines. Work with vendor on equipment commissioning to achieve robust test performance. Following project schedule to ensure lead time according to clients’ production plan.-Supervising on-site commissioning team on implementing test platform into contract manufacturer site. Document and address test issues (production pace, measurement accuracy, consumable lifespan, yield rate, etc.) identified during prototyping builds.-Design and drive company internal test approach development including an ion discharge based leak test technology for consumer electronic battery and automotive battery test. Design customized test fixture using Solidworks and perform functionality study and data collecting for performance analysis.

-Managing consumer electronics related leak test project for major smart device client in the bay area.-Prepare and review technical materials including engineering drawings, trial run data collections, BOM and etc. from manufacturing team.-Hold and involved in design review meetings with vendors and clients to present machine design approach, system integration, UPH, OEE, FMEA. Provide improving suggestion for performance optimization, cost reduction, cycle time reduction and potential test failure avoidance .-Participate in clients’ prototype build (EVT, DVT, PVT). Collect machine operation data and provide feedback for testing optimization and solutions for potential break downs based on data collection and analyzing.

- Led Bridgestone sponsored project Smart Condition Sensing and Monitoring on designing multi-functional in-tire sensors and communicating research status with Bridgestone engineer representatives to produce deliverables and decide future plan.- Developed test verified MATLAB algorithm for tire intelligent sensing including cornering detection and revolution counting.- Experienced with using SOLIDWORKS design experimental specimens and operating machine tools for manufacturing.- Experienced with using tensile test machine to obtain specimens’ physical properties for modeling and analysis.- Designed and conducted tests for sensor function verification using electrodynamic transducer.- Conducted vibration analysis to the tire-road interaction model and proposed vibration based impact and inertial energy harvesting method.- Validated tire energy harvester design using electrodynamic shaker and tire testing drum. - Applied finite element analysis (FEA) to the designed energy harvester for optimization of harvester electrode patterning. - Experienced with using data acquisition system and processing and analyzing test measurement data.

- Instructed ME 5374 Smart Materials and Intelligent Systems.- Graded assignments for 15 students and provided assistance regarding course and homework.

- Worked with team leader and other group leaders established general design objective for the 2013 new FSAE racing car.- Conducted research on FSAE racing cars from other universities within the worldwide range and proposed improvement strategies for the next-gen racing car.- Supervised bodywork group through concept, development of the Formula SAE racecar bodywork. - Designed Formula racecar bodywork using CAD software (SOLIDWORKS) and analyzed aerodynamics through FEA software (Ansys Fluent).- Manufactured and installed bodywork based on the computer aided designed prototype.- Worked with engine group calibrated the new engine and assisted welding the steel based body frame.- Engaged in new vehicle test drive to provide feedback information for further optimization of vehicle dynamics. - Developed CNC program for manufacturing metal parts used in cockpit.
