I am managing a team of stock and admin clerks servicing the operation across all areas of the warehouse, providing daily leadership and direction. I am responsible for ensuring daily/weekly PI counts are actioned and completed, also ensuring empty location checks are carried out against the schedule, investigating any variances to correct the stock levels. I am managing the team to ensure all locations have efficient stock accuracy, all admin functions are completed on the Manhattan WMS, and making sure any queries/questions from the operation and 3PL client are dealt with in a timely manner. Team daily attendance, timekeeping and absences are managed by myself as well as recruiting new team members when required.I also manage the procurement process on all packaging and consumables for our 3PL client, ensuring all items are ordered in a timely manner to maximise availability of packaging and consumables within the warehouse.

I managed the Stock Control, QC and Reverse Logistics teams in this fast paced warehouse. I was responsible for all aspects of stock management, including Exertis’ own stock and also our 3PL clients stockfile’s, conducting perpetual inventory counts and stocktakes on all stock at regular intervals, investigating any variances and adjusting the stockfile appropriately. Also liaising with auditors for Exertis and all 3PL clients.I analysed space and location utilisation ensuring we had enough free locations within each area of the warehouse to accommodate inbound pallets. I managed pickfaces to enable stock to be picked in the most efficient way and ensured our QC team maximised their checks within each outbound department. I also ensured all returned stock was booked in and putaway within KPI and created and maintained all departmental SOPs.In conjunction with the above I also led a team of superusers on the implementation of a multi-million-pound SAP EWM warehouse management system, becoming a subject matter expert (SME) on all stock control functions. I went on to complete the planning and implementing of a warehouse consolidation project to gain and maximise space within our narrow aisles, and worked on a project to implement Canary 7 WMS for our 3PL clients, testing and becoming a superuser before implementing this into the warehouse. I left Exertis due to the closure of the warehouse at the end of March 2024.

I implemented new processes and procedures within the DC to enhance stock integrity and better accuracy. I created and managed a perpetual inventory program for counting the DC 3 times per year, along with managing all other aspects of Stock control; stock counts, aisle checks, Goods In/Despatch checks, nil pick management, audit trailing, adjustments and system updating. I was also the super user for the new WMS.I created and maintained all departmental management reports in excel spreadsheets and presented these on a daily/weekly and monthly basis. I trained and managed a team of 4 stock operatives to carry out the daily tasks within the department.
