- Evaluated salt marshes along the South Carolina coast using Landsat 5/7/8 and NAIP imagery to calculate unvegetated-vegetated ratio, a measure of marsh vulnerability, using ArcGIS Pro and Google Earth Engine- Created rate of change maps with satellite imagery from 2009-2019 to understand anthropogenic effects on salt marsh stability and health- Engaged with partners at the South Carolina DNR and Woods Hole Coastal and Marine Science Center to identify key concerns and tailored research and deliverables accordingly- Acted as Assistant Center Lead by completing organizational local tasks and assisting the Lead while conducting interviews for fall term participants-More information on this project can be found here: https://develop.larc.nasa.gov/2020/summer/SouthCarolinaWater.html

- Collected water samples from over 90 lake, reservoir, and river sites for the Iowa DNR and Army Corps of Engineers long term monitoring contracts- Operated multiparameter sondes, van dorn samplers, wisconsin nets, secchi disks, and column samplers to collect water samples - Prepared and analyzed water samples for alkalinity, bacteria, total and dissolved nitrogen and phosphorus, chlorophyll and phycocyanin, and cyanotoxins (ELISA) - Performed rigorous Quality Assurance and Quality Control during sampling and analysis

- Facilitated 5 to 10 different wellness presentations a week to Iowa State students, faculty and staff- Recorded, edited, and uploaded a weekly student podcast on both audio and video platforms- Created, evaluated, and implemented evidence-based strategies to address health, safety and wellbeing on campus

- Graded student laboratory coursework- Advised student understanding of genetic laboratory techniques- Mentored students through preparing final projects
