Adrian's dedicated team is currently working in some of the most remote country in Australia providing economic and community development solutions tailored to the needs of some of Australia's biggest gold miners, remote Aboriginal Communities and Federal Government agencies. Adrian's team have many years experience in bridging the gaps between big businesses such as large mining and construction companies and small emerging Aboriginal businesses. Adrian has 40 years experience in working with Indigenous and non-indigenous agencies. Adrian’s initial background is in Indigenous capacity building; education and training, holding both a Bachelor of Arts, Literature & Psychology, and a Diploma of Secondary Education. In 2004 he established Red Ochre Consulting. Key high-lights include: business support over a three year period for Indigenous businesses at Anglogold’s Tropicana Minesite, working with GnL Enterprises to undertake an evaluation and review for the Torres Strait Regional Authority of the $100 million MIP - Major Infrastructure Program – funding; working with local communities in the Wheatbelt, Great Southern, South West and Murchison to develop Crime Prevention Strategies; project managing an Indigenous Employment Strategy for Swan TAFE to become a leader in the WA government sector; as well as leading the development of Indigenous Employment Strategies for Kondinin, Kalgoorlie Boulder, and the Peel Development Commission.Adrian has worked with projects in the Northern Goldfields and Murchison Regions having carried out extensive work for major mining companies in the area, including Newmont and Anglo Gold Ashanti.
