And I wasn’t always the ideal graphic designer for your next corporate event…From the time I was four, forcing homemade worksheets on my poor younger sister, it was a pretty sure bet I would be a teacher. And I was well on my way.As a teenager, whether spending weekends leading figure skating lessons for kiddos just starting out, or weekday afternoons volunteering as an aide to a first-grade teacher, I was constantly working to hone my skills and move closer to my ultimate career goal.Even in my senior year of college, I was thrilled when I landed my internship at New Way Academy. But that’s when things began to shift.Originally there to plunge further into education, I quickly found myself gravitating to the marketing team; jumping at any chance to be involved. Before long, I’d taken the lead on executing an original (and quite successful) philanthropic event.At the same time, I began freelancing for a local production company; filling spare time designing and operating graphics on small shows to gain experience. And I was hooked.I began taking Lynda.com courses. I inhaled subject matter at rapid speed completing class after class in design theory, technique, and relevant software.I loved the travel. I loved the fast pace. I loved that no two days were the same. I loved that teaching myself PowerPoint in second grade was turning out to be a transferable skill. Fast forward several years and here we are. I still love the travel, the environment, the constant change, and the value of beautiful, meaningful design. I’ve honed and applied my skills in real time to become a focused, skilled designer who knows how to bridge the omnipresent gap between creative development and live event production. I am the ideal graphic designer for your next corporate event.
