Duties include:- Creating conceptual designs and site plans that incorporate wave attenuation devices, proposed wetlands, restoration areas, park connector paths, and Harlem river access points. - Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including NYC Parks Operations, Natural Resources Group, and NYS Dept of Environmental Conservation.

Mentored a team of undergraduate research interns, and investigated the viability of living shorelines around the New York City metropolitan area. Our interdisciplinary team used ecology, geomorphology, GIS, engineering, and remote sensing technology to build a framework for management and planning of natural wetland areas. With this research, the team aimed to foster environmental stewardship and advance coordination and action among local communities, lawmakers, and stakeholders.

- Researched feasibility of ambitious re-wilding proposals in Saudi Arabia through analysis of geomorphology, biogeochemistry, and ecology. - This research will help build a framework that will ultimately guide environmental and ecological design of The Line at NEOM.

Implemented shoreline monitoring framework at West Pond in Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge in order to document the survival of living shoreline solutions. This adds to growing data that can demonstrate the viability and efficiency of natural and nature-based features (NNBFs) to have protection and resilience benefits at least equal to those of conventional techniques/grey infrastructure.

Our laboratory focuses on phytoplankton ecology, physiology, and biogeochemistry in regards to harmful algal blooms.- Tasks included microscopy, algal enumeration, water sample f iltration, as well as website design.
