  Sodastream is the number one sparkling water brand in the world and thrive to make a difference by reducing the single-use plastic waste.As a Non-destructive testing (NDT) Technician at an SAI Global accredited testing department my key responsibilities are:Manual Visual Testing• Performing external visual testing on gas cylinders to detect any visible flaws, corrosion issues etc• Applying body polishing process to avoid corrosion on the outer surface of the cylinders• Approving cylinders to undergo Ultrasonic testing as a part of NDTUltrasonic Testing• Manually set up and verification of all ultrasonic probes to ensure compliance with SAI Global guidelines. • Setting up calibration to initiate the testing process on ultrasonic testing machines• Monitoring the ultrasonic probe signals (A-scans) to interpret structural integrity of cylinders.• Recording and documenting any flaws like discontinuity, corrosion, thickness measurements etc. of the gas cylinders.Reporting and documenting• Recording any products deemed unfit documenting reasons why they are to be decommissioned. • Maintaining databases of all records, scan data and other relevant documentation with MS Access.• Tabulate detailed records of all test results and statistics to report to Engineering & Operations Supervisors and Managers.• Logging daily work spreadsheets to monitor effectiveness and performance of department and reporting to Engineering & Operations Supervisor.• Receipting customers and entering relevant data using Oracle.
