Responsibilities - Lead 7 teams of 25 people (software developers, testing and supportstaff). Supervise 7 projects: 3 focused on Microsoft solutions (ASP.NET and SQL Server),2 Ruby-on-Rails projects, 1 PHP and iPhone project, 1 Customer Support team (backofficeprocessing). Define full development processes & practices and ensure that theseare used across all projects (requirements analysis, design, task planning & tracking,code standards & reviews, testing, deployment, product monitoring). Preparations forthe implementation of ISO-9001 Quality Standard on all existing projects. Resourceplanning & allocation to meet the customer’s needs. Yearly evaluations, salary discussions& objectives setting for the department resources. Identify & act upon any project issuesand take measures to improve the quality of the deliverables. Maintain relationship withthe customers, increase confidence, collect feedback and improve customer satisfaction.Achievements - Improved documentation, source control and task tracking systemsfor 2 existing projects, which resulted in increased customer confidence, noticeableimprovements in development & quality.

Project Description - Extending an existing .NET infrastructure for a US telecom company(100K customers, 5K orders processed each week, 15 integrated software systems):expose new APIs via SOAP Web Services (10 APIs with over 100 Web methods), automatedata synchronization (80 data sources), perform various enhancements & maintenancetasks. Integrating multiple systems: new self-care portal (Ruby on Rails); new scheduling system - automated data processing (based on a Cast Iron workflow solution); newautomation .NET sub-system using a CRM API; new system to generate customercorrespondence (e-mails, calls, mail letters - using Amazon SQS).Project Technology Stack - ASP.NET 2.0 - Web applications & Web services, C# andVB.NET, MS SQL Server 2005, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server IntegrationServices, data replication with SQL Server, WWG (White Water Guide), Ruby on Rails, CastIron, Amazon EC2 and Amazon SQS, FTP, email, XML, CSV, XLS.Responsibilities - Coordinate the development team of 10 Devs and 2 QA engineers onthe new projects. Analyze & gather requirements, design & discuss architectural solutionswith the customer’s technical staff. Plan the development, define coding standards &perform code review. Supervise the team tasks, share knowledge and assist the team onenhancements and maintenance. Perform administrative tasks: employees review andtraining, technical interviews, identify required resources (hardware, software and people).Attend, prepare and hold technical presentations at company level.Achievements- Gained customer confidence. Started as the Team Lead for a 2 months trial project withonly 2 resources. Based on our excellent results, within the first year the team grew to 10developers, 2 QA and 16 support resources. The project is ongoing for the past 4 years.- Defined project procedures, defined coding standards and a formal code review process.- Trained & coached new developers to handle technologies new in the company.

Project Description - Maintenance of an existing system for an auto parts seller andrepair franchise company, with offices all over USA, covering both retail and warehousingsolutions. Perform bugfix, troubleshoot, enhancements.Project Technology Stack - VB 6.0 Desktop applications using COM and DCOM models,VB.NET and ASP.NET 1.1 Web Services for an on-line Web parts & tires catalog, MSAccess & MS SQL Server 2000 and 2005 as the data support, Crystal reports & custommadeprintable text-reports. Warehousing solution based on a 3-tier architectecture, usinggeneric ADODB recordsets as the methods input/output (since VB 6.0 was not objectoriented).Responsibilities - Coordinate a team of 4 developers, development, project documentation.Achievements- Only 6 months development time was needed for transitioning to a completely differentdatabase and change the corresponding business logic, by the team of 4 people that I led.- Created a document describing SQL Server best practices, tips & tricks and performancetuning, that was also used as a company standard on other projects.
