I am a newly graduated Humber College student of the three year Child and Youth Worker Advanced Diploma program with almost 2 years experience working in this field from a combination of internships, paid internship, on-call staff work and in-home disability support worker. I am eager to expand my experience and my therapeutic impact with children and youth and their families while working in the field. My experience over the years working with children and youth has led me to the point I would like to join an organization on a full-time basis. Working with your organization would be a great place to continue my impact as I am certain I would be a valuable addition to your organization.In addition to my educational foundation I have also had passions in educational improvements and accomplished honours roles for two consecutive years while attending Humber College. I now carry this passion in the workplace when supporting and advocating for children, youth and their families. In my two years of experience work children, youth, and collaborating with families and colleagues I have gain strengths in valuable transferable skills such as having conducted risk assessments and de-escalation management, program planning and facilitating activities that reinforces life skills, creating client profiles including strategies to prevent, manage and establish safety measures for aggressive behaviors of higher risk clients as well as assessing, managing, designing and implementing of treatment plans in response to clients need.I am highly passionate to work further in the field and help in the learning and development of the children and youth I work with.
