I served in administrative roles in fast-paced and high pressure environments. I provided administrative support to the Dean and Vice Dean Clinical in the Faculty of Health Science. The Dean's Office is incredibly busy. It hosts high level meetings, directs the Southeastern Ontario Academic Medical Organization, and is of course the head of the School of Medicine, the School of Nursing, and the School of Rehab at Queen's. Each day presented unique challenges that requires me to think on my feet, and execute tasks with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.Previous to this role, I was the assistant to the Director of Varsity Athletics. I balanced competing demands from staff, students and coaches, and attended to detailed record keeping and departmental budget monitoring. Working closely with the Director, I tracked performance indicators with the goal of improving the department’s overall efficiency. I assisted in tracking program successes and shortfalls--from the level of individual athletic performance to the over status of athletic programs. Show less

Every 5 years, Statistics Canada sets out to provide a statistical portrait of the country. It is a massive project that hires over 35,000 Canadians and seeks to gather 100% completion rate. I played a key role in the census program for 2016 Census in the Yukon as the primary contact for the remote field office in Whitehorse. As Recruitment Clerk, I attended career fairs across the Yukon from Watson Lake to Dawson City to staff 40 temporary positions for census collection in the territory. I liaised with various stakeholders throughout First Nation and rural communities, navigated sensitive client relationships, drafted correspondence, and maintained up-to-date, accurate, and confidential records. In this role, I smoothed over some highly volatile client interactions by accruing a depth of knowledge of policy and procedure, and by marrying professionalism with good listening skills. Show less

Geordie Productions is Montreal's leading English-language professional theatre for audiences of all ages, entertaining and engaging the imaginations of children and their families since 1980.As Development Coordinator at Geordie, I developed plans for several new initiatives to make theatre more accessible. Toward this end, I raised the funds to have Geordie’s 2016/17 season accessible to hearing impaired by hiring ASL interpreters for their main stage shows.
