I'm striving to find my way in the "matrix", or better yet, create it.  I love having meaningful conversations but I don't mind long silences. I believe that being honest without being kind is less of a virtue. Although I may be bluntly sincere - usually about myself - I'd rather be quiet than hurtful. Most of the time, I am the toughest with the person in the mirror. It is common to find me behind my glasses, deeply focused on a book - or my laptop for that matter. As I grow 'younger', I am taking myself less seriously everyday and I am happy to realize I seem to be achieving quite a significant balance. Still, I am an independent thinker and my freedom - of thought, of speech and of being - means everything to me. I'm a bit nerdy. I deeply care about what is going on with the world. Intelligence, substance, grace, humor and kindness are the qualities I look for in everyone. I strive to accommodate and pacify, though at times, I can also be somewhat of a tough cookie. I do have a strong sense of self and will stand my ground when necessary - I am that fearless friend you can count on in the battlefield. I am used to thinking outside the box, so, please, try not to put me in one - or maybe, yes, I'm willing to fit into the "bubbly but not annoyingly so" box, as long as you allow me an occasional cloudy day. I can be as impenetrably quiet and contemplative as a hermit - or as wild and joyful as a child. I have a rather profound inner life but absolutely love the world around me. I am a meditation enthusiast and practice it every single day. If I ought to define myself, I should say my spirit is a mix of a Renaissance woman and a gladiator, and I sincerely believe I have the brains, the heart and the guts to prove it.
