Lecturer In Industrial Design
Ciudad De Buenos Aires, Argentina
Faculty of Design and Communication, Industrial Design http://www.palermo.edu/dyc/diseno_industrial/plan.htmlSubjects: INTRODUCTION TO TECHNOLOGY Understanding technology as a key variable of the design process. The student generates physical structures with low complexity materials that help to understand the forces at work and the physical phenomena they generate. Introduction to normalization and paper and cardboard technologies. MATERIALS AND PROCESSES I Ferrous and Non Ferrous Metals: Their characteristics and properties. In this course students learn to identify and use the various metallic materials and they get an understanding of the transformation processes of metal parts. MATERIALS AND PROCESSES II Wood, glass and ceramics: Their characteristics and properties. The main objective of this course is that students learn about wood, glass and ceramics for application in the realization of products and objects. Features and properties of each of these materials, experimenting with processing and manufacturing. MATERIALS AND PROCESSES III Plastics: Characteristics and properties. The main objective of the course is that students learn about industrial polymers, their processing technologies and their application areas, so they understand how to apply them in the design and development of new products. MATERIALS AND PROCESSES V Planning and development of industrial production. The main objective of this course is that students acquire the knowledge to handle different situations that occur when the design has to be put into production and commercialized, linking analysis of costs and production possibilities with manufacturing processes.
