It took me a great number of years to realize that I enjoy working in customer service. I learned patience is the biggest skill one can possess when working with customers. Growing up, my parents were not financially able to take us on vacations often and when they would take us on a vacation it would be to Mexico to visit family. As the years passed my parents began taking us to other destinations and I got to experience hotels for mt very first time. I am never going to forget the very first hotel we stayed at which was Lady Luck Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas and now it has been remodeled and renamed to Downtown Grand Hotel. Lady Luck Hotel was not a 5-star hotel but to my siblings and I it did feel like one because we had never experienced a hotel and its room service. I perfectly remember the excitement we all felt which is what has driven me to major in hospitality. I would like to obtain a job where I am able to gift someone with a life changing hotel experience like the one my family and I experienced when we were younger. An experience that they will remember for many years and that will guarantee their future business. I have 7+ years of experience in customer service mixed between office work and restaurant work. I would like to obtain a job in hotel management and/or event coordinator.
