Head hunted to set up a new non-conforming lending operation.•Recruited a team of experienced Underwriters•Set up procedures and processes and systems which enabled a successful launch the lending operation. This involved setting up the lending policy testing of IT Systems to ensure their suitability and was successfully achieved within a tight deadline.•Targeted existing mortgage suppliers to agree business to business contracts-35 introduced.•Project managed the introduction of an internet based income calculation which, once introduced, increased mortgage applications by 25% within 3 months.•Carried out in-depth monitoring of new business received to ensure the loan book was of a high quality.
