I am a sophomore at Indiana University of Kokomo majoring in Business Marketing in the Kelley School of Business. I hold a plethora of great skills but the strongest skill I obtain is how well I am able to communicate with so many different types of people. I come from a very diverse background. I've lived in San Diego, New Orleans, and Indiana, all which have very different demographics and cultures. I've been working since I was 15 years old and every job I've had required communication skills and I've always excelled in that area. Just this past summer I worked for a marketing company as a Sales Representative completely remote where I was not only able to strengthen my communication skills, but also learn how to work and communicate well using only technology with all different age groups of people. I have spent my whole (short) life trying to find my passion, or some would say, "my calling". It has always been a struggle for me to stick to one thing, especially when applying for colleges, because I could never imagine myself being stuck doing one thing for the rest of my life. I finally realized that the reason I felt that way, was because I hadn't come across my passion. Or, I didn't realize that my calling could even be a career. I have always had a passion for all things social media. I decided to major in Business Marketing because it is very versatile and I could do a lot of things in social media with my degree. I have tons of experience with several social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and more. I hope to soon be able to strengthen my skills in a more professional setting through a fitting internship that has similar values and what I am looking for in an internship. I am looking to expand my resume and strengthen my skills even more because there is always room for improvement.
