Southampton City Council has a wide range of programmes that vary in complexities. The Project Management Office I work for help deliver programmes such as; IT, Digital, Adults in Social Care, Children and Young Families, and implementing a city wide infrastructure to make Southampton city a clean air zone. The projects I have successfully delivered have spanned across all of these programmes. In my role, I directly line manage a team of individuals and matrix manage a team which consists of Business Analyst’s, Test Manager’s, Business Change Manager’s, Subject Matter Expert’s and Programmer/Project Support Officer’s.

I worked within Customer Operations delivering multiple projects from initiation stage to closure, which included: o Working across various departments to implement process efficiency improvements, with the aid of system automation. The purpose of this project was to look at inefficient outdated work items and integrate with stakeholders to deliver a solution that would enhance productivity and reduce business cost base by £750k.o A project to strategically look at the wider Customer Operations working practices, and locate an opportunity to move a back office admin function to another metering site. Working with IT stakeholders, I tactically planned and delivered a complete office move of systems and hardware without disruption to the day-to-day operation. The benefit of this project allowed another business area to replace it, and helped to achieve the Customer Operations objectives.o To Implement an organisation design to be compliant with the wider organisational structures. Working with multiple senior stakeholders and external suppliers to deliver a change journey programme with the aim to be a sustainable and enduring workforce. This saved the organization £1.5 million in resource cost.

I worked in a digital PMO team, over the three projects I worked on I have managed a budget of up to £500K. I delivered multiple projects that included: o Introducing an innovative digital pictogram that displayed reservations and carriage availability on Euston train station main boards. The aim of this was to inform passengers of seating availability and create a more relaxed boarding experience. As this was ground breaking technology I was put forward for an award that took place in Amsterdam, and I was delighted when this project won the “Smart Rail Europe, Project of the Year Award”.o A project to send out early SMS notification of platform information to Virgin train customers, before it is announced on the main public boards at Euston station. The aim of this was to reduce the passenger surge at Euston station whilst staggering the passenger flow when boarding the train.o Providing a rail management information portal for Virgin Train Small Medium Enterprise (SME) clients to manage their travel accounts. The aim of this project was to understand the needs of the SME Customers, and to increase revenue generated from the SMEs by £1.4 million. To enhance additional benefits to the SME Clients, whilst using agile methodology, I managed the implementation of two Apps for this project to increase the customer experience.

Managing a variety of projects that include; o Introducing new shore excursions that are more cost efficient, whilst regaining maximum revenue and not jeopardising the customer experience. o Implementing a user-friendly database that catalogued our agents throughout the World. This was used by ships across the fleet and improved the process when planning ships arrival into different countries.o Improving the customer journey experience from the moment the passenger gets on board until they go home.o Tendering our products to different agents around the world to reduce our overall outgoing costs and maximise our revenue.

I was in charge of the day-to-day management and project development for all documentation for P&O Cruises. My main objective was to move the brand forward, working with various departments and external print suppliers.
