Led the external relations for the College including the areas of Alumni and Foundation Relations, Sponsored Research and Grants, Government and Community Relations, and Marketing and Communications. Raised over $27 million during the 2021-22 year and established new record years for fundraising and engagement metrics during the height of the pandemic.

Providing the best of teaching and literature, spiritual and inspirational material to blind and visually impaired persons of any faith - in whatever format best meets their needs. Provided at no charge and to continually explore ways to make that material more accessible and available to the widest possible audience of those in need. To offer opportunities for volunteer service for those who wish to help in this work through their donation of time, talent and financial support. Enhanced the resource mobilization and marketing efforts to increase awareness and support.

Kerrigan joined the Catholic Medical Mission Board in 2009, where he established the Advancement Department, which comprises private fundraising and communications functions. He also served on the organization’s Executive Team, which is charged with the overall management of CMMB. He joined CMMB at a time when the organization was looking ahead to its 100th anniversary and led the organization in the planning and implementation of its 100-year turnaround strategy. He has traveled to promote and assess CMMB’s work around the world, including Haiti, Kenya, Zambia and Rome. Kerrigan led the $1 Billion Healing and Hope Campaign which significantly passed its goal. He managed CMMB's largest program, the medical donation program.Adrian managed the Healing Help medical donation program which works with trusted relationships in the pharmaceutical industry to provide essential medicines to those most in need. Adrian has led the growth in this area where donations now average over $500 million per year. Adrian has grown the cash fundraising portfolio from $10 million in 2009 to over $30 million in 2018.

Adrian managed all facets of Institutional Advancement, including the Offices of Alumni Relations, Advancement Services, Annual Campaigns, Athletic Development, Development, Major Gifts, Donor Relations, Gift Planning and Corporate and Foundation Relations. He also actively participated in cultivating relationships with graduates and friends of the University. Actively managed a staff of 80 advancement professionals. Adrian arrived to close out the historic $275 million campaign and grew revenue annually from $10 million to $18 million.

As the chief development officer for the University, Adrian created a comprehensive institutional advancement program and oversaw the record completion of the $101.3 million Legacy Campaign while leading a successful university-wide integrated marketing and branding campaign.Achieved national recognition for the University while implementing a total resource development plan in cooperation with Academic Affairs, Enrollment Management and Finance. Worked directly with the President and key Board members on recruiting new Board membership and soliciting leadership gifts for the new School of Dentistry and School of Law campuses and programs in Detroit during a challenging economic and philanthropic climate. Energized a stalled campaign and brought it to successful completion. Managed a staff of 40 professionals.

Direct responsibilities included alumni and parent relations, cultivation coordination, prospect research, development campaigns including annual fund, major gift solicitation, reunion class gift coordination, corporations and foundations, capital campaign planning, strategy, solicitation, planned giving implementation, public relations, marketing and external affairs. Managed professional advancement counsel while completing the successful $30.5 million comprehensive Tradition with Vision Campaign and building a dedicated program and staff of twenty-eight.

Directed the Senior Management Team responsible for the planning, implementation and management of programs and activities meeting objectives of the University Development Division. Led of a staff of twenty-five plus three consultants. Participated in University Cabinet meetings with the President and members of the Board of Trustees.Completed the successful $43 million Leadership Gifts model Campaign 21.

A professional member of the Advancement Division Management Team responsible for coordinating, planning and implementing alumni and development programs. Served as Acting VP/Director of Development, reporting directly to the President of the College, during several extensive Advancement search processes. Coordinated the inauguration of the new president and supervised the transition of advancement activities to a new vice president.
