Entering college, I knew that I excelled in math and science, and that I enjoyed it. Ever since I took a STEM class in middle school that I loved, I have been interested in sparking a career in engineering. To this day, I continue to have the catapult and 3D-printed vehicle I created, in which I worked with some physics such as projectile motion, gears, motors, and the effects of friction. This passion has carried me to a mechanical engineering major here at Northwestern University with an interest in design and mechanics. Here, I have been able to create experiences in design projects with a team of three other engineers for real clients who need a specialized design built to fit their needs. This is only the beginning of my experiences in engineering and I will continue to grow and develop skills to become a better problem solver and engineer.
