I am the Principal of legal firm Langley O'Rourke.My specialty is in commercial/corporate advisory as well as various facets of commercial and general litigation, asset protection and estate planning.Before my career in law, I worked in the insurance industry with GIO Insurance in Sydney in 2000 and various other top tier insurers before moving completing my Bachelor of Laws at James Cook University, where I was President of George Roberts Halls of Residence and was selected to represent JCU as its first law student to study abroad, completing a semester at the University of New Brunswick Faculty of Law in Canada, the second oldest common law university faculty in the Commonwealth.Following law school I worked in insurance litigation with McInnes Wilson Lawyers and HBM Lawyers in Brisbane before establishing Langley O'Rourke in Sydney in 2012.Experience and specialties: * Commercial and corporate advisory, including business acquisitions and disposals, restructuring, contract negotiation, review and drafting* Commercial and general litigation* Plaintiff and defendant insurance litigation, public liability, CTP, workers compensation * Insurance policy review and drafting* Estate planning and asset protection* Self-Managed Superannuation Fund advice, including limited-recourse borrowing arrangements* Employment dispute resolution
