I am a Non-Executive Director of myCarbon Limited. myCarbon has established a tokenized blockchain solution for regulated Carbon Credits in Australia. Carbon Credits Australia are subject to the Clean Energy Regulator that is an Australian Federal Statutory Authority. myCarbon has for the last 3 years been working on developing their tokenization of carbon credits for commercial and retail trading in Australia.

This is a new committee established by the Qld Law Society. This committee is tasked with investigating policy issues that arise concerning data privacy and if appropriate making recommendation to the Society to lobby/provide a view to the appropriate government agency. The Law Council of Australia is the Nation Law Association in Australia. It comprises the State and Territory Law Societies of which I am a member of the Queensland Law Society. The Digital Commerce Committee is charged with undertaking research into various legal policy issues that involve the development and advancement of digital commerce in Australia.

I have been appointed to the Standards Australia Blockchain Technical Committee. Standards Australia will manage the secretariat of the international technical committee for the development of Blockchain standards after the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) approved Standards Australia’s proposal for new international standards on Blockchain. This will be an exciting time for the future development of Blockchain technology not only in Australia but globally and I am pleased to be so appointed.

This work will involve providing advise to a KEAZ related entity in their proposed DTS. This including securities advice, NCPF advice, AML/CTF advise, ACCC advise, the drafting of various agreements and an iterative review of the white paper that is essential for any DTS.

I have been appointed as an associate supervisor for a post graduate student in the Faculty of Business and Law. The student will be investigating the possible use cases for Blockchain deployments and the business characteristics that should be considered in order to have a successful Blockchain project deployment.

Its clients include Homeland Security in the USA and the Hong Kong Government (Customs). I have particular expertise in IT security and Law and as such I assist in ensuring that the company has the right security framework implemented and that the company operates in a legal compliant manner.

The International Blockchain Intellectual Property Committee comprises a group of lawyers, academics and technologist who will investigate a number of IP issues that arise from the development and advance of blockchain solutions across various industries. The Digital Chamber of Commerce based in Washington DC established this group.

Griffith University is one of the top universities in Australia and the Law Futures Centre is a multidisciplinary research centre comprising members from the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Business, the Faculty of Engineering and IT. The principal research I will be involved in will cover the implications of blockchain implementations and the proposed development of Decentralised Autonomous Organisations as well as the development of smart contracts in business.As well as this research I will also be investigating from a legal perspective autonomous vehicles which are starting to be tested in the Australian environment.

I have been appointed as the ICO legal advisor for the INKRYPT ICO which will be developed over the next few months. The promoters comprise a number of Harvard graduates who are intending to attack global media censorship through the use of a Blockchain deployment. This is an exciting project which I am proud to be associated with. The promoters are working hard and have a multi-skilled approach that involves economics, computer science and machine learning skills. The project and its team have recently been accepted into the Harvard Innovation Lab spring 2018 and are thus a finalist in the Harvard University President's Innovation Challenge.

I am providing legal assistance to Legaler in the development of their ICO documentation. This will cover all documentation/contracts as well as reviewing proposed whitepaper. Legaler is a social benefit organisation that is providing efficient and effective access to justice globally. It is not a law firm but provides an access mechanism to justice through various pro bono mechanisms on a global basis. This is a very worthy organisation which I am pleased to be part of.

Block click is working on a new online traffic marketing platform which will revolutionise the entire industry. I am working on the legalities of what they want to achieve including the issuing of a Digital Token Sales document in the new year.

I have been advising on the Skrilla ICO since July 2017. This has involved securities advice,, AML/CTF advice and Non Cash Payment Facilities advise as well as developing token sales agreements and advisory participation agreements. I have also been reviewing the white paper through its various iterations. It is hoped that the token sale will begin this October. This ico has now closed successfully

I was the chief technology officer and legal manager. I was also involved in the day to day operations of the Company together with my then business partner Brian Clark. This involved liaising with clients on a day to day basis as well as dealing with business development aspects within the Government sector and transport sector. I retired from this position to commence my legal practice noted above.

For more than 11 years I supervised on a part time basis a number of students who were candidates for a Ph.D. in IT security. Luckily all students that I supervised graduated successfully with their Ph.D. which I was most proud for them. Really it was all their work with little assistance from me.The areas of interest involve the intersection of Information Technology and the Law. Identity management and its legal implications still remains a vast area that is still unchartered. I have 1 student investigating this. Another research focus is the intersection of human involvement and IT. In particular policy development and its implications especially when a failure arises and the legal issues arise.

I was a non-executive director of this company. FBF is a charity that has developed a number of education programs which assist young people to better understand credit and financial responsibility. The program is now utilised in more than 1500 schools across Australia. It is also soon to be used to assist indigenous Australians in better understanding many of the criticals aspects of obtaining credit such as through credit cards and mobile phone contracts.

I was a founding non executive director of Ilab. Ilab is a business incurbator laboratory based in Brisbane. It was initially established and funded by the Queensland State Government but was in 2009 taken over by the University of Qiueensland. It has provided assistance to many start ups that are now highly successfull businesses.

Careflight group is an aviation health care retrieval organisation. It is a charity that operates principally from the Gold Coast but due to its jet capacity has extensive reach internationally. A very worthwhile organisation.

Bris 31 is a community television station based in Brisbane, Queensland Australia. It recently was granted digital spectrum by the Australian Federal Government and funds from the State Government to install relevant digital broadcasting technology. Bris 31 is a very relevant aspect of the Queensland Community forum and is now powering for the benefit of all Queenslanders.

Non Executive director of Identikey which was a security company that was later acquired by a large European Security Company that supplied access tokens to the Banking sector.

I was in charge of IT and Electronic Commerce practice. In addition to this I practiced in IT governance and finally Corporate governance. I lead a group of attorneys in one of the largest IT projects in Queensland history which involved the contracting of the Electronic ticketing project for the Qld Department of Transport. This project covered all transport modes such as trains, buses and Ferries that operate in the greater south East Qld hub. I also assisted in the drafting of the GITC (Government Information Technology Conditions) Version 5.
