Adrián finishes the Technical Telecommunications Engineering degree in 2011, obtaining the reward to the best academic record of the promotion (with a final qualification of 9.68). He carries out the Final Degree Proyect as research fellow in IK4-Ikerlan, a reference R&D center in Spain.After that, he combines the Higher Telecommunications Enginnering degree with a research fellowship in the NQaS (Network Quality and Security) research group, which is part of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). Here he has the opportunity of starting a new research line within the group, bringing the network traffic analysis to the FPGA’s level.Once finished the degree, Adrián started to work as researcher in Fon Labs, the R&D division of Fon Wireless Ltd., where he had the opportunity of working around the 802.11 standard and its multiple variants, The improvement and development of different parts of a WiFi architecture, from end user embedded devices to backend services, was the main purpose of his job.Nowadays he is part of the IoT & Digital Platforms group in Ikerlan, where he actively participates in research activities related with the IoT world like 4G/5G technology, ligthweigth protocols, device provisioning or cloud/edge platforms management among others.
