My mom keeps a card from one of my elementary school projects with her. The assignment was pick five verbs and draw a picture of each action on an index card. After reviewing my project, the teacher requested a meeting with my parents. Two cards laid on the table, one a stick figure on a slide to the word "play" and the other, a yellow alien running on a hill with a cloudy sky in the background to "rase". I was the alien's creator. The teacher was concerned about the time I spent on the project (the misspelling of race aside). To my mom, it was a testament to the hard-working daughter she raised. To this day, I continue to approach projects with creative solutions. My love for visuals and nerdiness for data make me a great communicator. I am known at work for my detailed reports and specialized knowledge. I'm particularly savvy in webform automation, CRM organization and email marketing. I also must admit, my reliance on spellcheck still holds true. Thankfully there are plenty of tools to automate our weaknesses so we can focus efforts on our strengths. My goal in life is to connect people to brands that improve their health and global perspective. I dream of the day we realize we are all human and we deserve to treat ourselves better. In my personal life I value a sense of community through small business, fresh air, world travel, and game nights. The emergence of work-life balance has been a much needed discovery in American culture. The move to remote work has improved my productivity (after getting used to access to my cat and pantry at all times). In my career, I was happiest working a 4-day workweek. The extra day was dedicated to home and self maintenance so my mind could focus on helping my team and clients the rest of the week. I understand not every line of work can offer this level of flexibility, but it is something I strive for.I enjoy hearing new perspectives from people. If you're interested in starting a conversation with me, send me a message!(Side note: for those who can see, my cover photo is a hide-and-seek game I used to play with frogs in a bush while waiting for the one-car train in rural Japan. As you may guess, I'm also a patient person.)
